I am presently looking into ordering a new set of airliners into my fleet, and they are not one of my currently used maintenance Catgories. If I already have used the 3 slots and have 5 categories already being used, will I have to pay another 15% while these aircraft are on order?
You will start paying the 15% surcharge over the maintenance cost from the moment the first aircraft of a different type enters your fleet (delivered) and will keep paying it until the last aircraft of such additional fleet type leaves your fleet. With 5 fleet categories you will pay a 30% surcharge on top of the maintenance costs.
