Myanmar's Flag Carrier, Myanmar Air (Myanmar International Airlines) has announced details of its latest fleet acquisition and expansion plans. 

The new carrier has today welcomed a second-hand Fokker 100 into its fleet. The aircraft (which was previously operated by KLM Cityhopper) has been fitted with an all-new cabin, featuring 15 spacious regional business class seats and 75 reclining economy seats. 

This initial F100 will operate high capacity domestic and international routes to. Flights to be operated by the new aircraft addition include;

MAR 7 / 25 - RGN - NYT

MAR 66/67 - RGN - BKK

MAR 30/31 - RGN - MDL. 

In addition two brand new regional routes will be operated by the aircraft. 

MAR 75/76 will operate 3 times weekly to Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Mar 70/78 will also operate 3 times weekly to Vientiane, Laos. 

MIA has also today announced the launch of 4 new domestic routes, which will be operated by Bombardier Q400/300/200 aircraft. MIA's hub at Yangon International Airport will now serve

Bhamo (6x weekly),

Homalim (3x weekly),

Kwathaung (3x weekly) and

Keng Tung (daily).

In additional, twice weekly international service to Bangladesh's second city, Chittagong will begin this week, with fares on this exciting new international route starting at just 99USD.
