Sphinx Air, Egypt's largest and national carrier held their first press conference in Cairo International Airport, with their CEO Chan Long Tin, presenting the airline's plan and information.
'Although we have commenced our first two flights from Cairo to Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada on 9th August, two weeks ago, we have not made any announcements nor press conference announcing our operation and so on, and a lot of Egyptian as well as foreign travellers are very curious and excited for our airline, thus we are holding this press to let the world know more about us.' said the CEO of Sphinx Air.
Sphinx Air was founded on 9th August, 2017, under Egyptair Holding Limited. As a full service airline aimed to provide premium services for customers and passengers from all over the world, Sphinx Air is currently the only Egypt-registered airline operating in Cairo, and between several domestic cities' airport.

'As you can see we are now serving more than 26 daily flights from Cairo to domestic destinations across Egypt, providing extra convenient schedule for domestic and international travelers to go to various famous tourist spots in Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada as you passengers can catch a flight every alternate hours.'
Sphinx Air is looking forward to receive more Airbus narrow bodies to enhance service for their trunk routes, as well as increase capacity to Luxor and Aswan. Other Egyptian cities will slowly be added to our network once we get more Bombardier regional jets. We are also considering short haul international destinations if we can make a deal for more larger CRJ series, which will feature our finest premium first class service in these routes, and provide connections to 6 domestic destinations across our nation.
'Our short term plan is to expand to every corner in our nation, and perhaps some short haul international destinations like in the Middle East, Southern Europe and North Africa. Our ultimate plan is to convert Cairo as a hub between Europe and Africa, as well as India and Middle East sub continent to America. We aim at this so as to also provide more choice of destinations to our O&D travelers originate from Egypt, to convenient our fellow Egyptians.'
