i would like to get some opinions about the Iran-sanctions implemented in Airlinesim.
First, let me say, that I am not sure, whether this topic is correctly posted in General. If not, please put it in the right category. Thanks in advance.
I am wondering, why the issue of USA-IRN relations is not being discussed. We have had major changes during the Obama administration. From the legal perspective, direct flights are possible. Allow me to underline my conclusion by the following sources.

"Treasury outlined several conditions for its allowance, including that the planes stay in Iran no longer than 72 hours at a time. It also only covers fixed-wing aircraft rather than aircraft like helicopters. Companies are also not allowed to store spare parts in Iran, among other conditions." Mohammad Khodakarami, deputy director of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation, says: “From Iran’s side, there is no barrier to establishing flights between Iran and United States. Before the [1979 Islamic] revolution, Iran Air had daily direct flights to the United States. We know that there is demand... We are sure that the load factor will be very great. So, purely from the aviation side, we welcome establishing these flights.” While there has been a considerable gap since then, non-stop flights between the two countries no longer seem implausible any more."

Now we have the Trump administration.
Nonetheless, the Obama made laws/orders are still valid.
From the legal perspective (de jure), in my opinion, direct flights are possible.
If they are practically possible (de facto) with the Trump administration is not relevant, since only de-jure perspective is implemented in Airlinesim (regarding start/landing, while we totally do not talk about spareparts^^).
Looking forward to get some opinions.
