Adding plane types

Hey

I just would like to see a few airplanes which are currently starting up the production being available in game, and for which the real world orders are available. Would you consider adding these?

I mean primarily the chinese ACAC ARJ21 series (-700, -700ER, -900, -900ER, F), japanese MRJ70/90, new Bombardier CS100/300 series. Also the Tu-334 would be nice as its one of my favs.

Some of the soon-to-come planes like Irkut MS21 or Comac C919 would also be nice, but they are not to come until 2017-2019...

What kind of info would you need for these?

There are two criteria for new planes to make it into AS:

  1. Sufficient data has to be available (specs, performance etc.)
  2. The type has to be in scheduled commercial service.

I'm looking forward to planes in the opposite direction, like a 1950's/1960's server

Okay.. ARJ21 is scheduled to enter regular service in late 2013 by Chengdu Airlines, so I hope that qualifies. Fuel consumption data are available at GE site http://www.geaviation.com/engines/commercial/cf34/cf34-10.html while the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comac_ARJ21 gives most of other figures like range, capacity, etc.

A 50es/60es server would also be cool!

If you look here you can find the discussion of the historic gameworld. As said by Martin it will start in the 80's and maybe they will go backwards in time from there. If you have any data  regarding new airplanes send it to the support via the  support button so they have it in one place. Here it might be missed or forgotten  ;)

Scheduled to enter is different from already in service....in AS they tend to add planes when they are actually in service. One exception might be the 787 because I guess it is such a killer plane (in game) and they couldn't wait anymore lol

It depends on how serious the information about the aircraft are in the internet. Airbus and Boeing both have good data online, but especially some "not so successful" aircraft manufacturer allways offer a jet carrying 100 person until a distance of 6000km and normaly don't need fuel :P

The A350 made it's maiden flight recently... can't wait for that one!  :P

Hi!

Any updates on when the MS-21 will enter service at Airlinesim? :)

Can't wait for it to be introduced here!

Best regards

Julstar

Dobyou, by any chance, mean the MC21 by Irkut? Scheduled introduction was pushed back to 2020

Talk about raising thread from the dead LOL.

<span><a class="" href="http://community.airlinesim.aero/user/2684-yukawa/" title="">yukawa</a>, thanks a lot!&nbsp;</span>

So more waiting then, but no problem as I play the game for 9 years now! ;-)

Oh and by the way. It is "MS-21" in English and German. Short form for „Магистральный самолёт 21 века“ and the Russian "c" in "самолёт" (aircraft) is a German and English "s".  :D

And because "nobody" knows a cyrillic C is a latin S they decided to name it MC-21 everywhere, despite what would be lingustically correct. So it is no longer MS-21 in english or german, but MC-21. Coundc srasy, but it'c true.  ;)

well it is marketed by Irkut as MC-21 in the west so it was their own decision

Since resurrecting old threads is fun at times; I was just wondering if we'd be seeing the Boeing 737 MAX 7 becoming available soon? From what I have learned in the last few days, Southwest is due to get the first two aircraft (of this model) later this month.

I’m sure as usual that it will be available once it’s in scheduled service and the performance manual makes it to AS

It may take a bit of time as Boeing is usually slow to publish performance data.
