Jet Philippines fly high

[Manila, Philippines 15/05/2015]

The commencement ceremony of Jet Philippine was sucesssfully held on last Tuesday, with more than 200 guest including the president of the Philippines, Mayor of Manila and the CEO of the company, Mr Chan Long Tin.  It was associated with the inaugural flight of the company JP 041 to Ilolo from Ninoy Aquino Internation Airport in Manila.

A huge red stage with the airline logo and livery backdrop was put just next to the boarding gate number 5 in terminal 1 of NAIA. After th speech of some important guest including Mr Chan, there was a ceremony, and each passanger on board this very remarkable and memorial flight received a souvenior from the company, a A321-200 plane model with 1:200 size.

But not all the things are going right, Mr Chan in his speech announced that due to the failure of negotiation between the company and the Chinese and Hainan Government, they cancelled their operation of air service to Haikou, including cancelling the flight JP 251 and 252 on that day. Afterwards, JP 401 and 402 bound for Kuala Lumpor was also cancelled due to technical problem of the plane, but flight resumes normal in the following day, though it just leaves only one flight service on the inaugural day of Jet Philippine. Passengers on the cancelled flight were all directed to other company's flight

'It is disappointed to announce that we need to cancell these two flights, and I sincerely appologize to our valued customers for any inconvience caused. But here comes the good news to our company, we have already sucessfully leased two more ERJ170-LR and will be operating more domestic destinations in the Philippines including Legazpi, Bacolod, Puerto Princessa and so on, details can later be found on our poster, advertisement and in various travel agency in Manila.' Mr Chan said.

Whether Jet Philippine will become another great success in the Pinoy avaition history remain uncertain, but there is a bright future for the company. To this point, they have already carried more than 2300 customers as well as operated 22 flights to 9 distinct destinations.

I don't know if you got the hint form my post above ... if you really installed so tight sets in both economy and business (your seat pitch numbers would indicate Slimline HD or Standard in economy and leisure plus/comfort in business), you may be having problems attracting customers... just me 2 cents

I know, just a typo haha, and too lazy to change the poster...

PS Maybe its the hidden cause of cancelling flights to haikou, because no one book the flight due to tight seatings...

Asian Airways is very sorry for not accepting your IL request but the CEO of Asian Airways did see that Jet Philippines is compromising on 3 out of the 4 rules Asian has about ILs.

Asian rules of Interling:

  • Only Exclusive IL
  • Asian should be your only partner in Malaysia and Singapore
  • AAA airline and high quality airline
  • Not being a competitor of any Unity Airline
