London/Montreal:

We are proud to announce that one of our airlines again will become the launch customer for a brandnew aircraft.

After flyBlue became the launch-customer of the brandnew Airbus A350 and the Airbus A320neo, our subsidiary flyBlue CityLink today announced the initial order of 10 aircraft by the new Cseries of Bombardier. Also the airline signed an option for 40 additional planes of the types CS100 and CS300. The first planes will replace the Airbus A319Sharp, that are used on routes from the London City Airport. The CS100 will offer 84 seats in a two-class layout on European routes and 72 seats on trans-atlantic routes. The first airports that will be served are Toronto and Manchester from London City. We also will use the Cseries to replace our fleet of AVRO RJ.

Also our main airline, flyBlue, today announced the order of 70 Bombardier CS 100 with an option of 30 additional CS 100 and 50 CS 300. Together with the Airbus A320neo and A321neo, the Cseries will become an important part on our mid-haul fleet, that will replace our currently used aircraft of the Boeing 737-family. In the last month flyBlue already could complete the exchange of its Long-haul fleet, where all Boeing 737-900 were replaced by modern A350, A380 and B787. flyBlue now is the biggest operator of the A350 and the A380.

The introduction of the brandnew Cseries is the next step on our goal to offer our passengers the most comfort on their journey with modern, and State-of-the-art aircraft.
