Just curious when we’ll see the B787. I’d like to the range/performance numbers of it. It has the same type rating as the 777 so it could be covered under the same mx category.

Type rating and maintainance have got nothing to do with each other: B764 has got B777 type rating but B767 Maintainance category.

The 787 is more in line with an A330 than a 777. I’ll say that it will hve its ow type rating and maintenance category.

The 787 is a completely different product that the A330. Just because it has composite parts doesn’t mean much. It’s the integration of technology. The 787 and 777 will share a common type rating. It was certified as such a month or two ago.
