New Airline Established in Taiwan

A new airline has been founded in Taiwan, and is based in Taipei-Sungshan International Airport (TSA). The airline will start with a fleet size of 7 aircraft, 4 737s and 3 Embraer E195ARs.

The Embraer aircrafts will be deployed to serve domestic Taiwanese routes and selected short-haul destinations within the 3-hour radius, while the 737s will be deployed for short to medium-haul routes to Singapore, Japan, North and South Korea and Greater China.

"DAN Airways has selected to be based in Sungshan as there are comparatively more slots available for expansion compared to Taoyuan International Airport. As the airline continues to grow, Taoyuan would be a more viable choice when we are able to have our own facilities to meet our needs."
